D-Nice I am telling you. You are destined for greatness. The interviews that you have and the pictures you are taking, are out of this world. The only beef I have with you is that we need more material from you. You bring the real hip hop to people. Keep doing your thing. Just let me know when you make that first movie becasue you have a strong vision and need to make some documentaries or movies. I hope you read this.

Your illest interview to date! It was so simple and quick, yet it explained so much in so little amount of time. Plus I always respected Kwame as an entertainer/producer.

Great story and very educational. When are you going to do one on yourself? On the making of "My name is D NIce" or "Crumbs on the table". Keep them coming.

i remember listening to this album at my man's house and him taking the tape and throwing it out of a 14th floor window when it finished. i went to rock & soul the next day & bought the wax cause i liked the album & i have even more appreciation listening to this story now considering the amount of quality songs done in 8 hrs.

kwame's music has aged very well...i remember the whole polka-dot backlash but his music has stood up better than some of the harder material imo

THANK YOU D-NICE. AWW MANN I WAS A KID 8 YRS OLD AND I REMEMBER KWAME COMMIN OUT AS A "NEW" RAPPER, I'VE BEEN LOVING HIP-HOP SINCE I WAS BORN. KWAME HAD THAT SMOOTH SOUND, HIS WHOLE ALBUM WAS DOPE

When I was younger Kwame was one of my favorite rappers. My mother was very selective on who I could hear and Kwame fit the bill. I appreciate you doing a piece on him. I still listen to his music to this day.

A couple years ago VH-1 had a documentary about Kanye and they were showin home videos of him as a kid and sure enough they had footage of an itty-bitty West wearing the polka-dots. I smiled.

Keep the stories comin

The Kwame story was real talk. We need to encourage the brother to do a come back to show the new school why hip hop got started.

Thank you so much for posting this! It's amazing how you can see someone or listen to something and it takes you back to a particular place in time. That's how I felt when I saw this story. It took me back to high top fades, big polka dots, and yes, the Rhythm. Loved the story of how the Rhythm came to be. THIS IS WHAT MUSIC AND REAL HIP HOP IS ALL ABOUT.

P.S. Kwame is still as cute now as he was back then :-)

Much Love,
MissD

Another branch on the Paul C tree. That guy is an unsung hero. Organized Konfusion, Ultramag, Large Pro, Eric B and Rakim
