All around the world. Can't wait to go to A-F-R-I-C-A. I'm awaiting my African Ancestry DNA test results in a week or two. I just said that when I get the results, I'm gonna explore my roots. I gotta go. In my work with youth, I mentored some youth from Johannesburg last winter at the YMCA in Bed Stuy. It was their first time in New York and their first time ever seeing snow. These children were so amazing. Poetic, articulate, and passionate. Now that I think of it...they mentored me right back. Never mind that they didn't have a lot of money, they were so rich in spirit. The "word" is universal and to hear them kickin' lyrics was awe inspiring. Should've saw our cypher. Gotta love Mama "O" for her Leadership Academy too, while she can't mold every single girl, watch what that academy turns out.
