Kool Moe Dee - The Treacherous Emcee

Reader Comments (7)

The very first piece (TV) I ever edited was when I was 14 on the subject of Teenage Pregnancy. I used "Go See The Doctor" as the music bed.

Always been a Kool Moe Dee fan since I saw him in Beat Street. I now have the pleasure of teaching my daughter (who 5 this month) about real hip hop. This is one of the artists I let her listen too
I can't stand this rap that's out now days. Rap=Recording Artists Pretending. I let her listen to ral MC's.

Peace. DJFuze.

Im a child of the 80s, born in 81 so by the time I became aware of Kool Moe Dee he had dropped his solo joint. I remember Wild Wild West was my JAM! Then I vividly remember the LL Cool J battle they had. With LL having a fake Kool Moe Dee in the video. Word, you just brought back some memories with this one.

Hot flick, D! I had to come back to check it out on more than just my phone. I love the pose, lighting and the DOF.

Thank you for sharing.

Even though every verse in Self-Destruction was on point, there's that one line by Kool Moe Dee still stands out in my mind today, "I never ever ran from the Ku Klux Klan and I shouldn't have to run from a Black man..."

That's what I'm talking about. Real Hip Hop at it's finest. I was just wondering about Kool Moe Dee the other day. Good to see him, nice shot D.
